The Church at Thyatira – Hold Fast Until I Come
In Revelation 2:18–29, Jesus addresses the church of Thyatira with both commendation and solemn warning. He praises their works, love, service, faith, and patience—works that grow stronger at the end than at the beginning. Yet He also warns against the influence of “Jezebel,” symbolizing false teaching and spiritual adultery that leads God’s people into compromise.
This message calls us to spiritual vigilance in the last days. Just as Thyatira was urged to “hold fast till I come,” so we too are reminded to cling to Christ and His truth amid a world filled with deception and moral decline. The promise to the overcomer is certain: authority with Christ and the gift of the Morning Star.
