Feb. 22, 2020, Youth Sabbath

After much preparation, prayer, practice and more prayer, the Youth Sabbath at Fannin County SDA
Church dawned bright and beautiful.

youth sabbath string musicChoristers Micah Tanner, Caleb Pitman, and Kristen Babcock began the Sacred Service by leading, “I Sing the Mighty Power of God” and truly His power was reflected in all that went on this day at church. Head Elder and Youth Coordinator, Dr. Ronnie Hold, made announcements to the church body. After another hymn of praise led by the Choristers, “Give Me the Bible”, Marianna Wynne asked for praises and prayer requests and offered a prayer lifting up these items to our gracious God.

Nicholas Nushtayev asked for the offering and youth ushers Isaac Pitman, Daniel Pitman, Joshua Hold and Elijah Chung took up the morning offering from a full to over-flowing church congregation including
many visitors.

A new opening anthem was introduced by Ashley Hold, vocalist, accompanied by Keila Pitman and
Penny Reynolds on the piano and organ, respectively, “Temple Made of Time”. After Caleb’s Invocation,
“This is My Father’s World” was led by the choristers.

youth sabbath childrens storyNicholas Nushtayev offered the morning prayer. Alyssa Simmons shared “Jesus Loves Me” as a violin solo. Elizabeth Wynne shared the inspiring children’s story about whistling swans.

“All Things Bright and Beautiful” was played by the String/piano Ensemble of youth.

Michael Nushtayev read Job 12:7-10. The sermon followed with vignettes following the theme “The Birds Will Tell You” by Caleb Pitman, Daniel Pitman, Isaac Pitman, Joshua Hold, Elijah Chung, Danielle Chung, and Andrew Nushtayev.

Closing Hymn, “Under His Wings” was led by the choristers as the congregation joined in with this hymn
glorifying our Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer, the great God of heaven.
