In our church family, we do more than church together. We get involved in ministry to Blue Ridge, Morganton, and Blairsville, through public health meetings on healthy cooking, Diabetes, Weight Loss, Heart Disease, Cancer, and Smoking Cessation. We work together to help those who are unable to clean their yards or do repairs on their homes. We have a Community Services center in which we distribute food and clothing to those who come to our center.
It’s not all work and no play. There are fellowship meals almost every Sabbath and often there is a group of people going on a nature walk. There are midweek meetings and always something popping up to be a part of. We do bike-a-thons and walk-a-thons to raise money and every spring we go on a campout in the Smoky Mountains. We get the youth together as often as possible.
In our church family, there is a spirit of love, care, and tenderness for one another. As the Bible says, “when one member shall suffer, all of them shall share the pain. And if one member rejoices, all the members shall rejoice.” I Cor 12:26, and this is the standard for our conduct. We desire to fulfill the prayer of Jesus, “that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you.” John 17:21
We welcome visitors and hope you come on a Sabbath when we have a fellowship meal so we can spend more time together.
