Our church family here in Fannin County, Georgia values two primary values for our worship of the Most Lovely Jesus. First, we believe that the Bible is the sole authority of how we are to worship God. As Jesus said in John 17:17, “Sanctify them through Thy truth, Thy Word is truth…” and so the Bible holds an important place in guiding us in how we conduct ourselves in the House of God. Second, we cherish a family environment in which we support one another and encourage one another in the journey of life with God. Jesus said, “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another, as I have loved you, also love one another.” John 13:34 We believe that our church as a body suffers when a member suffers and we rejoice when a member rejoices.
Our Sabbath services begin with Sabbath School and there are multiple classes that are age appropriate. While there is an instructor that guides the class and has materials prepared, the classes are open for all to be involved. We believe that valuable input from any member of the class can be led by the Holy Spirit and be a blessing to all that are participating.
In the worship service is included prayer, song, children’s story and the sermon.
Eating together after the services is common and you will want to check the church calendar if you are coming with the intention of dining with us. Taking this time to fellowship over a meal is such a blessing, giving us time to catch up With each other in a more intimate way.
Food that are gluten-free, lacto-ovo vegetarian and vegan are provided to meet the various needs of people. If you have food sensitivities please make sure you tell someone so we can find something for you.
Often there are groups of people going to visit nursing homes, taking walks or hikes so if you would like to be involved make sure you bring clothing appropriate for the occasion.
I do hope that you will join our church family in the worship of God. I am sure you will enjoy the fellowship, music, Bible study and after services meal and activities.
